What If Simon Jordan Purchased Charlton?
Comments

No he is not. As usual Rolly is being economical with the truth. The club is free, it is just the ground, stand and training pitch you have to pay for.BR3red said:
Simon can now apparently as RD is giving CAFC for free...Addickted said:Jordan can't even afford to buy a Charlton kit, let alone the whole Club.
I would have Simon in anytime, but would never happen.
I would like him to be in charge of the FA though!1 -
I was joking...Redrobo said:

About what? Having a man passionate about football running our club?0
-
It's a good question because people have often said that no-one could be worse than Duchatelet.
Could Simon Jordan be worse?0 -
Being in Jordan and have dowie as manager. The dream ticket. Only joking.0
-
As RM doesn’t remotely own Charlton it’s thankfully a hypothetical question.0
-
I would reassess my opinion of him.
Like I have done before with BWP.0 -
Doubt Jordan has enough spare cash to purchase a season ticket, but he was a fan who thought he could move the club on and came up short financially. Is he still a Palace regular? He seems the sort of guy that would learn from past mistakes. Am I saying this? Any owner not RD or Royston is a bonus.0

I like Simon Jordan. Despite what I said earlier.0

Wow!!!RodneyCharltonTrotta said:Would rather Osama Bin Laden bought us and turned sparrows lane into an Al- Quaeda training camp than Jordon have ANY involvement in our club.0 -

You need more than passion though.Dazzler21 said:About what? Having a man passionate about football running our club?0 -
I can't believe some of the stuff on this thread.Yes, he talks sense some of the time and appears to have our corner against two sheds. But, but, but - it's Tango Man, the Orange W****r, the ultimate Nigel. People, please!4

Sadly this is our problem at the moment. Current owner has bags of cash but no passion or interest to invest.Stu_of_Kunming said:

He talks more sense than Richard Murray who ultimately has done more damage to our club.bobmunro said:I can't believe some of the stuff on this thread.Yes, he talks sense some of the time and appears to have our corner against two sheds. But, but, but - it's Tango Man, the Orange W****r, the ultimate Nigel. I just would like an effective owner - I don't have to like them.1 -
This is how low we have got.
Whenever someone appears to be rational, honest and caring, we immediately just want them to be our owner....whoever they are.
That is how much our OWN people have let us down.
Richard Murrary will obviously be completely aware of what was said on talksport and my guess is...that he will be absolutely fuming! For a few reasons.
Richard.
Enjoy being a non executive director of an ice cream van.

clearly too many of the we want Roland out at any cost brigade were not around when we sent the palace down or the day dowie was announced as manager.0 -
The day we sent palarse down is still one of my all time favourite Charlton moments.letthegoodtimesroll said:bobmunro said:I can't believe some of the stuff on this thread.Yes, he talks sense some of the time and appears to have our corner against two sheds. But, but, but - it's Tango Man, the Orange W****r, the ultimate Nigel. I appreciate his input yesterday and the fact he made Roland look ridiculous ,,, but owning us? No bloody way.1

Don't think Jordan has the money. .0
-
I have more of an issue with Murray than Jordan - his ludicrous decision to appoint Dowie started this decline.2
-
Dowie was first choice of many supporters,it somehow went tits up0
-
Simon Jordan once said "Yes, I would buy Charlton Athletic, so I could close it down..."
Enough said...1 -
Don't worry, we've got our best man on the case

It will never happen so why worry0

I would welcome Jordan as owner, don't give a f**k that he once owned palace. Got a lot of time for the bloke. However I don't think it will happen in a million years as he bankrupted himself owning palace and so will not do the same for a club he doesn't support.0
