The Steward at Huddersfield

The female 'Steward Supervisor' at Huddersfield yesterday emabarrassingly spent most of the first half shouting 'sit down' to a few Charlton fans who opted to stand during the game. The away end holds 4000 and we took 405 and most of the people who were standing were towards the rear, so were not endangering anyone or blocking anyone's view. She even got the Police involved who eventually ejected a couple of fans, but the Police did not seem to be remotely interested. The home fans at the side were also standing, but much less attention was spent on them. We all know the ground regulations, but this was rather petty. Reasonable amount of noise from the fans considering the numbers - with help from the drummer of course!

    Iv never understood why stewards do this, anyway what really annoyed me was that one guy actually spent a bit if time calming the charlton fans down and getting them to atleast sit for a little bit, it was nice of the stewards to thank him by confiscating the (non-alcoholic I believe) drink he'd 'snuck' in.

    Give someone a fluorescent jacket and they instantly take on the identity of a power ranger...

    With have them on the Metro who act like they are the SAS, complete wankers the lot of them....

    Just start singing "stand up if you love Charlton" whenever stewards moan at you
