Ummm - based on Henry's suggestion did a bit more research on the same website. A decent (football specific) scoreboard/timer visible from 200 metres would be around £3500 + VAT + fitting. So I would guess around £7000 with machinery hire to fix it.....thats a lot of donations from CL people!

    Well done on this.

Considering we raised half of that for the Upbeats, a cause people are more likely IMHO to dig deep for, £7k is a lot but not impossible.

Maybe someone can raise it with Steve Kavanagh and David White when they come to Bromley Addicks on 26th October.

Maybe a raffle or something like that, OFF_IT has a Pink Teddy Bear he might like to donate ; )
  • Following on from the Romanian idea (frankly a work of genius) I am worried about the work permit implications.
Perhaps a cheaper in-house option would be to choreograph 95 or so grumpy Charlton fans, possibly drawn from some Charlton Life contributors, who could be placed in prams around the perimeter of the playing field.
If done properly, we could count the minutes by how many toys had been ejected from said prams.
