You don't know the pressure AFKA puts on me to get this quiz done on time; constant whispers, text messages, horse's head left in the cardigan draw.

When it's 9.29 am on a Wednesday morning and you need a topic for a quiz you take the first thing that comes into your head

All correct although I'd missed Kiernan so there are THREE players, no the two I said, who played in both games.

The only player that comes to mind Henry is Stuart Leary.

    4. John Hewie

    7. Hope I'm not reading too much into the word 'era' but it seems to suggest a change of manager. Lennie took over in 1982 so was it goodbye Ken Craggs?

It was Cragg's last game. Unfortunately it was followed by an internal appointment, with Cragg's assistant stepping up, which we know never works. Charlton were relegated 8 years later.

I get a couple of minutes to look at the quiz and it's all done and dusted!

I'm sorry, don't tell AFKA or he'll dock my wages again.

Disappointed, Henry - not a mention of our 7-1 thrashing away to Luton in the 70s.
Bonus point - who refereed that match, and how did he show sympathy for us?

I'll guess at Roger Kirkpatrick and also guess that he blew up early!

I think you are thinking of the defeat against Leicester where Mike Kenning played full back in an attempt to nullify my pace as I'd joined Leicester by then!

    It was 1970 (69-70 season) I think.

Right ref, Len. He actually gave us a penalty at 7-0 down (I think) for the softest challenge - no-one in the ground thought it was a pen, apart from him. But how we celebrated...!
