Nope, I wouldn't have got married on a home game against West Ham. I think it might be Cardiff away. On my way home and forgot to get the wife a card. haven;t fixed up to go out because football is on the box. Thought if I could recall how we did that day all those years ago she might be so impressed she would overlook everything............................

We came bottom of the table that season and was relegated to division 3.

    Played 42 - 22 points

I think this was Mike Bailey's first game as Chief Coach and there was a slightly bigger crowd that day.

    It was 3-2 against Cardiff.

Gritty got 2 and Les Berry the other to put us 3-0 up.

Cardiff arrived only 30 minutes before kick off - reason unknown.

For 31 years I have proudly boasted that I waited for the fixtures to come out before booking the wedding so I didn't miss a home game. I was convinced we won 0-2 at Cardiff. Just shows you I must have done what I was told. I remember an away game at Cardiff where we won 0-4 or 1-4 with Horfield getting a couple. Anyone shed any light on that.

    4th November 1978. Won 4-1 Away.
Arthur Horsfield was not in the squad, but Terry Brisley got 2, Madden and Robinson the others.
Jeff Wood saved a penalty after Les Berry had handled.

The Cardiff manager was sacked 2 days later.
