Just got back in! Great turnout tonight boys, nearly 1,200 of us! I was in a Southend box and they were impressed by our numbers and our 1st half display.
Elliot - 7 - Good handling, one soppy punch in 2nd half. Francis - 7 - Mixed game, but on the whole a good display. Jackson - 7.5 - I'd prefer that he didn't play LB, but he had a very good game. Fortune - 6 - Some dodgy clearances especially in 2nd half, although one excellent sliding challenge on German. Doherty - 6.5 - Done his job efficiently. Martin - 6.5 - Showed glimpses of skill, but failed to beat the final man on more than one occassion. Semedo - 7 - Excellent in 1st half, could've/should've got a 2nd yellow in 2nd half. Racon - 8 - Is in the groove at the moment, great goal. Ran the game. McCormack - 7 - Relished being back at Roots Hall, had a decent game. Reid - 7 - Gets into great positions, then gets greedy and (poorly) shoots when a pass is the better option. Abbott - 6 - Chased well, but had little impact on the game.
Dailly - 7 - Kept it calm at the back when Southend came at us in the 2nd half. N/A Fry - 6 - Done ok N/A Wagstaff - 6.5 - Actually ran at the oppo with the ball at full pelt, which he needed to do at Barnet.
