Haven't Ipswich got Chelsea? Looks like he'd only get the 1 game anyway.

not sure if it is right to categorically state peoples wages on a public forum? Perhaps should at least be members only thread.

Reid and Jackson were under contract and they chose to forefit those contracts to join us on less money, according to Richard Murray.

[cite]Posted By: LargeAddick[/cite]Semedo Racon and Youga are on 6k pw.

Beating Luton and playing Spurs could mean the difference of keeping Racon/Semedo or losing them if we don't get promoted.

I am not sure about these 6K per week figures, they sound a little on the high-side.

I guess they could be true because they were all signed back in the post-Premiership days when we had those Parachute Payments.

You have to say though that even though Semedo and, to a lesser extent Racon, have now come good in L1 that neither were anywhere near good enough for the CCC when we bought them - or even while we were there.

That means that we spunked - if the 6K PW figure is correct - nearly 2 million quid on the wages of Semedo, Racon and Youga for the 07/08 - 08/09 CCC seasons and none of them made any serious contribution in that period.

    Nice one, Mr. Pardew.

True and what's worse is they were among the better signings.

Dean Sinclair, Fleetwood, Moutaouakil, millions in transfer fees and wages on McLeod, Varney and Gray, then add in cheap but pointless signings like Dorian Smith and that Portuguese defender who never played. Dowie wasn't really any better signing players either.

With so many poor and expensive signings we didn't really give ourselves a proper chance. Looking back Andy Reid played a huge part in keeping that team challenging. These players were meant to be potential Premier League players. Some are now playing in League Two.

At least Parky knows how to build a good squad, and there was a clear reason why he made every signing that he did.
