Vehicle carrier on M25 J26 anti-clockwise fell on it's head about lunchtime yesterday and caused mayhem all day, spoke to a few people in work and made the decision to go for it about 4pm after debating whether to do clockwise or M11 but stupidly went for the obvious route and got stuck from 16:30 - 22:00 missing the game, ticket in pocket, and couldn't even watch it on TV! I know one other in my group didn't get there either, anyone else? Predictably missed a good win as well.

Left Dartford at 4.15 and came to a standstill between jncts 28 & 27 around 4.50. Total nightmare and panic once we heard ( sandwiched briefly between what was happening in Noocastle and the student protests) what was causing the problem which had been ongoing for over 5 hours.
Rang Mr F at home who consulted the road atlas with the plan to exit at jct 8 once we were on the M11 and go across country via the A602to Stevenage , then the A1M north to jct 8 around Hitchin and hence onto the A505 to Luton. Parked up at 8.43 and legged it to the ground...
.....to find the away turnstiles closed and doors to the area bolted. Banged on said door which was nervously opened by a steward telling us we were too late to buy tickets. We waved the necessary and said we'd only just arrived , to be told he couldn't let us in !!!! What ????? As I was about to totally " lose it " he must have seen the look on my face and muttering that he " shouldn't be doing it ", finally let us through ! You don't mess with Fanny !
The mood lightened a little when we found that Waggy had equalised just before the break , and the rest is history....
Planning to leave home circa 9am for Brentford on Tuesday.
Decided to ditch the car at Bow Rd and catch train, got to the ground about 20 mins prior to kick off.
Did get caught in traffic, but managed to run into the ground just as they were having a minutes silence for someone.
Left at 4.45, arrived 7.45.
Got caught a couple of miles before the problem at JCT 27, I sent out some tweets on twitter - got some messages back from Charlton fans who decided to go a different way so hopefully they all made it to the game.
I was going to head up the M11 Northbound and try and get to Luton via Stevenage but that was at a standstill so went Southbound and then onto the A406 North Circular. That was really slow due to Thames Water roadworks but finally managed to get to the M1 and got to Luton around 5pm so took 3 and a half hours but after reading some of this quite happy to get there at all, didnt realise it took so long to clear.
Flew back very quick after the game
From Luton Airport .....?
Huh. More or less right past my front door ... and you didn't call in for a cup of tea.
Mind you, I wasn't in.
Nah, Paradise
S-hole
Quite a few local inbreds were spilling for a fight after the match - didnt seem too happy with our fans happiness on the way to the station.
