[cite]Posted By: incorruptible addick[/cite]What's up with Llera? He wasn't even on the bench on Sunday, was he?
Probably nothing, we had Seip and didn't need 2 defenders on the bench with all the attacking options fit.

Edit: Dailly must be back, sent off v Yeovil, banned against Bristol Rovers, Luton twice and then Walsall.
  • [cite]Posted By: bibble[/cite]I hope to God Brentford win, just to echo myself on the FA Cup thread, we do not need a Cup competition when we are trying to gain promotion, when we get to the Championship I would love a cup run but not this season and not in this pointless competition. Promotion is everything.

I do really agree, but saying that, we are very close to a final at Wemberly and maybe we should do our best to progress further... I don't know...?

Dailly is available tonight, Walsall was the fourth game of his suspension. The others were Bristol Rovers & the two games with Luton.

sigh. we've come this far....it would only be two more games then possibly a wembley appearance. win the game, get the fans back on board, morale boost for the squad. If they cant play saturday wednesday saturday, then they shouldnt be pro's.

What about this for a team , its a shame Sodje is unavailable. Dailly could play CM.

    Elliott , Jenkinson , Fry , Mambo , Llera , Dailly , Wagstaff , Martin , Abbott , Mccormack , Reid.

    Subs Goalie , Doc , Semedo , Jackson , Benson , Anyinsah

this is one of the best chances we are going to have to get to wembley in years (and for years in my opinion) so to turn my nose up at it would be madness in my eyes... now pick your heads up, act like men and get out there and give those bee's a good bloody shoeing... UTA!!!

ha kap, thats fair enough but surely the Luton replay would have been the time to rest players playing against opposition 2 leagues below.

It surely can't be worse than Man U v Woolwich last night, can it? I'm not even joking.

Looking forward to a good night out tonight with 4 pubs to choose from. Although it's hard to get excited by the paint pot, it's still a cup run and I'd love to see us at the new Wembley.

Plus - I want us to win every effing game we play.

    Haaaaaddocks!
  • "Captain Christian Dailly is expected to return to Parkinson's starting XI on Tuesday after serving a four-match suspension for a red card against Yeovil Town. He could partner one from Gary Doherty, Jonathan Fortune, Miguel Llera or Yado Mambo at centre-half. Seip is cup-tied."

I just hope Weston doesn't rip Francis to shreds again.

    Expecting a Brentford win.

  • I'd like us to line up like this, taken from the OS:

In the last round at Southend, Charlton lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, with McCormack, Semedo and Racon making up the midfield, and Reid and Martin playing just behind Abbott, a formation Parkinson may revisit on Tuesday.

    Elliott

    Jenkinson
    Dailly
    Llera
    Fry

    Reid
    Jackson
    McCormack
    Wagstaff

    Abbott
    Anyinsah

...assuming they are all available. All the others, Semedo, Racon, Martin, Benson, Francis etc on the bench.

    - Live on sky
    - Cup game
    - away at a smaller 'tighter' ground

all points to one result Brenford win, 2/3-1

I'd like to be positive but the last few games have been pretty bad, they have started looking pretty good. Only real thing in our favour is the returning of Dailey, not saying we will win but we so often underachive when he's not in the team, so sad relying on a 37yr old for any glimmer of hope

I went for a win - not sure of score but I'll take a punt on 2-0 to us. Think it'll only happen though if Parky freshens up the side a bit - Dailly and Llera at the back (played well against Luton at home) - maybe Jenkinson to replace Francis (to try him out as a more regular option...). Start Martin and/or Reid with Abbott and maybe even Tuna up front. I know he's constrained by the 5 player rule - but think there is scope for change. Think one of the biggest issues against Walsall was that they all looked leggy to me.... if we go out we go out - league is still the ONLY priority.

Thursday wasn't that long ago! Although that was on ESPN, not Sky - I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Good that it can only go to pens tonight, I really don;t think our squad would like an extra 30 minutes.

    I'd play:

    Worner
    Jenkinson Dailly Doherty/Llera Fry
    Martin McCormack Semedo Reid
    Ayinsah Sodje(if fit)

I'd take Jackson and Racon out as they've been ever present the past month. Waggy out to give Martin a chance.

We don't seem to do well vs Brentford so won't be surprised to see us out of the Paint Trophy and if we do go out hopefully it'll be the last time we play in this competition ;-)

I just want to avoid injuries and cards if we win great but the league has to be the priority. I'd have taken 3 points against Walsall and a defeat tonight.
