its so total bollox isnt it ? i mean all the years we have been going down ---all the corners we have turned---- all the build ups----to be let down---thats CHARLTON. We know deap down that its not going to be the mega money and we also know deep down they will disapoint-----but we still hope its going to be really big news and the big shilling coming in------------but this is CAFC after all.
Still my ham is cooking well and all the presents are brought and wrapped.
This is actually really beginning to drive me crazy. Refresh, refresh, refresh on the official site - every 30 secs or so. I wish they'd just said something like 'a further announcement will be made tomorrow at 11am' or 'a further update will be provided at 8pm this evening'.
Matt Wright wrote the latest news on the OS and on Twitter he has said he is now off to the pub. I doubt soon means later tonight. Might even have to wait until the next working day, which would be Wednesday?
The Comms team can report anything from anywhere courtesy of laptops and web accounts, believe it or not. MW is particularly hard-working out of regular hours and will probably stick around the Valley as long as he needs to, anyway.
He was uploading content from the Brentford JPT game at half midnight that evening, for cryin' out loud!
That formal statement is pretty bloody vague. Doesn't make it at all clear if the discussions have finished for the day and will continue after Christmas and New Year Holidays ;
or
If all parties involved are so near the end game that they intend to work on it for the rest of this evening with a view to sealing the deal in the early hours of Christmas morning.

In a bid to embrace the spirit of Christmas, I offer the following advice: step away from your computers, put your mobiles down and reconnect with your loved ones...
I'm not at The Valley. I'm currently in Wigan at my in-laws, surrounded by snow, with no central heating because of a gas leak. It's been a helluva day, full of emergency calls to the National Grid and blokes digging up the front garden - while finding time for a quick few pitch inspection and takeover stories.
What 'very soon' means is anyone's guess, but I am indeed just about to go out 'on the lash'.
I could indeed update the site remotely later should I get 'a call', but I would be a bit concerned about the standard of my work!

No it f*%king isn't
Afterthought: The longer this silence drags on the better the chances of completion today
A last minute gift for the wife, presumably.
She will hate it and gift it to the Oxfam.
So if we can just find out what their local charity shop is, Charlton Life can purchase the entire club next week for £2.99....
Very true.
NEWS! WE HAVE NEWS!
Very soon of course could range from this evening to sometime in January :-(
No doubt as I've been on here all day they'll announce it when I'm in the pub

I know as much as you lol. But just really feel they mean tonight.

We're in safe hands, is the bottom line.

The second one!
