Virtually every game now, the John Smiths is OFF in Bartrams. So Peter Varney don't worry about the new manager and all that stuff. sort out Bartrams once and for all.

Wise ? Poyet ? who knows, just sort the beer out in Bartrams !!!

I have to say, yesterday was the most exciting day following Charlton for a long time. Sat in front of a key board glued to Charlton Life. So much better than a Charlton home game for years.

I'd have thought John Smiths being off would've been a result.

Agree with you about yesterday...it was a good crack on here.

Thank the Lord ! let's talk beer.

Well, there was no Real Ale. They don't sell Guinness any more, the cider was also off. So you are left with Fizz which is no good for anyone.
  • A friend told me that was the case again on Boxing day, kingston when he was unlucky enough to be drinking in Barts before the non match...

He'd mentioned this to me a while back too, so I emailed Paul Ellison who assured me that he was unaware of the complaint. He said he would ensure that " the John Smith's on tap would be the best it could piossibly be " in future ( quote)

Should there be any further problems, he said to inform a member of the bar staff and ask them to call him personally to deal with the issue.

Think my pal may have given up drinking there after this current episode ...maybe you could get Paul to pop in next time you're in Barts ?

Hope that helps ( from a white wine drinker !)

    Thanks Fanny.
    Who is Paul Ellison ?
Is he the bar manager ? Surely prior to opening someone checks all the taps for the quality of the beer. If you look at the staff in there I'm not sure anyone would know if it was a good beer or not.
  • ....something about "All Charlton pulling together".....I took this as the original poster saying "Lets leave ALL criticism of the Club" off the websites.....

I had two pints of guiness in there as they didn't have real ale.
