i want wise and poyet - i'd take that over a return of curbishley - curbs was great but wise and poyet would be something completely different and i'm convinced they'd be successful. it all fits with zola coming in as well and wise moving upstairs in his seemingly preferred role. maybe i;m getting ahead of myself but if we do have big finance behind this i can see us challenging the established london order here. chelsea are on there way down as abromovich seems to be gradually withdrawing, west ham is looky very dodgy and if redknapp leaves for england they could revert to mid table non entities. arsenal are ountouchable but with the right management, money and a ground expansion we can have a crack at it with this lot. laugh if you like but its possible.

[cite]Posted By: Lewis Coaches[/cite]Not on the sky bet list i will give you a name and reasons.
As said by many people on this site somebody else a 3rd party is behind this takeover with big money.
Who about a qualified lawyer, speaks many languages and has worked in London before.
Only downside i can see works for The Croatia FA.
    Name Slaven Bilic.
That i would be happy with.

I wish, that would be ridiculously good... out of the question, but good none the less

I think that it is possible too. But who says that there is big finance behind this?

Well, they had better get used to it because that's who they are getting.

My take on this is that the owners will pick whoever they want and I will welcome them to the club (some less enthusiastically than others). It is time to get behind the team now or risk everything really gone to sh*t

Anyway when we beat the Spuds Kieth will be made manager and in three years we will be in the Champions League

Well he does have a Newcastle link now, remember with Mr Shearer, so you never know.........

Now, that would be the ultimate squaring of the comedy circle.

If they want to get more bums on seats at the Valley, Dowie would be the worst possible way to go about it.

Don't we get a Champs league when we win the FA Cup this season?

Talk of Poyet is complete fantasy isn't it. Only a few days ago the new chairman was talking about living within our means, not throwing money at the club or pie in the sky and all that.

Only way he'd come here is if he had serious money to spend. Poyet and his staff would surely cost several million in compensation as well, he's on a 4 year deal at Brighton.

I think we'll get Wise, he'll impress at first like new players do because he's different to Parky but end up doing no better while spending more money.

Totally agree with that if we get him.

Personally I'm hoping for Chris Hughton, ideal charlton type of person imho.

Slaven Bilic is a good shout!
  • chris hughton would be fantastic, billy davies would be good also
  • I would also be happy with Wise as manager, it is only a shame that Eric Morecambe is no longer alive he could have been the Assistant manager!
  • Ladbrokes have suspended the betting on the next Charlton manager after only 45 minutes with Dennis Wise the 1/3 favourite as the book was closed.

He was introduced at 1/2 shortly after news broke that Phil Parkinson and his team had been sacked and he was the only recipient of any support despite the shortlist containing several former Valley players and fan favourite Alan Curbishley.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We had our book open for just 45 minutes and in that time we saw enough money for us to pull it down again. It was one way traffic for Wise and it bears all the hallmarks of a done deal.”

    Ladbrokes latest betting

    Dennis Wise - 1/3 (from 1/2)
    Chris Powell - 8/1
    Eddie Howe - 9/1
    Martin Allen - 9/1
    Alan Curbishley - 10/1
    Paul Hart - 12/1
    Brian Laws - 16/1
    Chris Coleman - 16/1
    Matt Holland - 20/1
    Phil Brown - 20/1
    Iain Dowie - 20/1
    Paolo Di Canio - 25/1
    Others on request
