Elliot - 6.5 Awful kicking but made one excellent save from Fry and took a couple of good crosses
Francis - 6.5 Average game, didn't get as much forward as I'd liked but kept winger under wraps
Doherty - 7 Should have been sent off but dealt with aerial balls in windy conditions well
Dailly - 8 As above but a touch better anticipation and calmness MOM
Fry - 6 Seems to make a mistake and then gets nervous
Jackson - 6 Making less and less impact game by game at the moment. Time for Reid?
    Semedo - 7 Typical Jose
Wagstaff - 6.5 A couple of decent runs but I don't remember a cross all game
Anyinsah - 6.5 Worked hard and should've scored after being put clean through
Wright Phillips - 7.5 Got one, could of been two. Easy header and does add a bit of class to our forward line.
Racon - 7 Done well when he came on, offers more than McOxo in the centre.

  • Elliot -6.5 - Kicking was terrible, but brilliant save to stop Matt Fry's sliced clearance going in.
Francis - 6- Seemed fairly anonomyous, but kept their winger fairly quiet.
Doherty -6- Some very dodgy moments in the first half, and should have been sent off, but good defensive display at the end when Yeovil were throwing the kitchen sink at us.
Dailly - 8-Solid, Didnt let anything through and my MOM.
Fry - 6- Looked very nervous with lots of misplaced passes.
Jackson -7-Solid game, nearly scored from long range effort and good corner for the goal.
Semedo -6.5-Seemed a little anonomyous i thought, but gave his all as always and fairly solid if unspectacular.
    n/a McCormack
Wagstaff -6-Lots of running and effort for very little end product, i dont seem to remember one cross from him.
Anyinsah -7-I thought he held up ball very well and brought others into play. Seems to be a pretty important player now, and i think BWP will really benefit in this strike force.
Wright Phillips - 7.5-Good header for the goal, missed a sitter for the goal. But how nice is it to actually have a player who looks like scoring regular goals for us again.
Racon -7- Pretty solid, thought he upped his game in the 2nd half and played some passes up to BWP and Anyinsah.

    Elliot - 6 - some dodgy kicking
    Francis - 6.5

    Dailly - 7.5
Fry - 6 - almost scored a stunning own goal , bad passing at times
    Jackson - 6
    Semedo - 6.5
    McCormack 5.5
    Wagstaff - 6.5
Anyinsah - 8 - always closed down defenders who were struggling with wind , never gave up
Wright Phillips -7 - good goal but should've scored the one before
Racon - 8 - was great today controlled the midfield and made some good runs and passes

  • Elliot - 7 - Made some poor kicks but also made a good save frome Fry's slice
Francis - 6.5 - Generally good in attack but made a couple errors in defence
Doherty - 7.5 - Made some crucial blocks and was reliable at most times
    Dailly - 7 - Solid in general
Fry - 6 - Struggled and made too many errors
Jackson - 6.5 - Still lacks the final ball and also lacks pace
Semedo - 7 - Generally solid and distirbuted the ball well
    n/a McCormack - 7 - No enough time
Wagstaff - 7 - Tracked back well and offered good movement with Francis
Anyinsah - 7.5 - Made some good runs and troubled the Yeovil defenders all match, did well to set up BWP, MOM
Wright Phillips - 7 - Didnt offer too much but scored the crucial goal
Racon - 7.5 - Ran the midfield and looked determined to prove a point

    n/a Eccleston - 7 - Not much time
n/a Benson - 6.5- Not enough time but I feel he lacks strength
  • Elliot - 7.5 Did well with a couple of awkward back passes on a windy day. Playing well.
Francis - 7 Defended well. Not much chance to get forward.
Doherty - 6.5 Maybe a bit lucky to stay on but it didn't look too clear cut. Did well.
Dailly - 8 Really good and stuck to his task well.
    Fry - 7 Ditto Francis.
Jackson - 6 Two good set pieces and did the defensive/positional bit well. Still not offering a lot coming forward.
Semedo - 7.5 Only his forward passing lets him down. The rest of his game is there. Really committed and tough.
    n/a McCormack
Wagstaff - 5.5 Worked hard but only started to feature a bit late on. Not a day for wingers (nobody was passing to them) but looked very lightweight.
Anyinsah - 7 Worked very hard on scraps and fed BWP well for his chance. Needs a goal because starting to lose confidence. Only 3 league goals.
Wright Phillips - 7 Played a great through ball for Joe, missed a sitter and cracked on regardless. Good signs, well done mate.
Racon - 7 Had a good steady game.

  • Elliot - 7 - Good handling, good saves. Kicking? Neither keeper could clear halfway in the gusting wind, at times.
Francis - 7 Solid in defence, good challenges, supported team mates, got forward well when he could. Decent.
Doherty - 6 - Always in the right place, good defensive headers. But so slow, accident waiting to happen on the floor.
Dailly - 8 MOM Organised the defence and held everything together. Good captain's performance.
Fry - 6 - Started well, great buccaneering run. But a couple of mistakes 2nd half, confidence drained away.
Jackson - 7 Kept things ticking over, not a stand out performance. Drew good save from keeper. Assist for winner.
Semedo - 7 Did his job, solid and effective, but limited with the ball. Looked like a defender in midfield.
n/a McCormack - Started brightly, industrious, effective. Hamstring pull in the 24th minute saw him out of action.
Wagstaff - 6 - Couldn't fault his work rate, but positionally AWOL - which reduced his effectiveness.
Anyinsah - 7 - Worked his socks off, challenged for everything, linked well with BWP, but looked like he needs a goal.
Wright Phillips - 7 - Missed a sitter, but moves well. Lost his marker beautifully to head in direct from Jackson's corner.
Racon - 7 - 24th min sub, slow starting but once in the game, always looking for the ball and moving it on well.

n/a Eccleston - Is this lad lightning or what? Needed longer on the pitch. Tee-ed up a good chance that went begging.
n/a Benson - Nearly worked a good scoring opening in a congested box. Well involved and played for the shirt.

Wasn't the perfect performance by any means - but gritty team effort that dug in and earned the 3 points, against an in form Yeovil that fought to the final whistle.

  • Racon - 8 (mom, dictated midfield as far as conditions allowed) - you must have been watching a differnt game to me! Dictated ? we were yet again outplayed in midfield. We won because of stawlward defending and because have a striker who took a chance whereas they missed 2 similar opportunities in the first half.

  • Elliot - 6. His clearances/kicking was poor, particulalry with the wind behind him.

Francis - 7. Solid. Good support play.

Doherty - 6. Should have gone. Becomming a bit of a liability.

Dailly - 8. MOM. He organised well, particularly defence and keeper

Fry - 7. Solid performance. always chose the simple option which was wise in the conditions.

Jackson - 7. Did nothing wrong but was expecting a lot more

Semedo - 7. Average perfomrance, nothing spectacular but held the midfield together. I just wish he would shoot more and use his bloody left foot.

n/a McCormack - 5. Not been impressed with him at all and still surprised he's being picked in front of Racon. Obviously had a hamstring tweak early on and should have gone off sooner.

Wagstaff - 6. Not really been as involved for the last couple of games, disappointing.

Anyinsah - 7. Worked his socks off and is looking good as a pairing with BWP. Very unselfish.

Wright Phillips - 7. Good finish again. Made up for his miss 5 mins earlier. Had one other chance which he should have used his left foot and he would have scored.

Racon - 7. Usual solid midfield performance. Again played it simple in difficult conditions.

n/a Eccleston - 7. Worked hard and used his pace effectively.

n/a Benson - 6. Needs to get match fit. Looked good in the air when trying to feed Eccleston.
  • [cite]Posted By: redman[/cite]n/a Eccleston 4 - I know his strength isn't playing high balls but in that wind he should at least try to put the CH under pressure

you're having an absolute laugh aren't you?

Including stoppage time he was on for 15 minutes.

He chased every single ball like a greyhound and made a couple of very positive runs with the ball, one of which culminated in a pass inside to Benson when he could have, and perhaps should have been more selfish.

How is that worth a below average mark? The lad barely got a ball passed to him that didn't come down with snow on once in the 15 minutes!
  • Well said ISaw.

Eccles had defenders panicking and swarming over him like flies, whenever he had the ball.
His pace put the proverbial shits up all of them.
