John Laurie (Pte Frazer from Dads Army) was in it and still looked like an old man!
There was another version made in the 50's starring Kenneth Moore as Hanny. It was a bit weak.
I actually like the Powell one. 1978 I reckon. I saw it at the pictures with my Dad when it first came out.
