If you have then say so here.

If you haven't or aren't going to then there are plenty of other threads to bitch and moan on - not this one.

I sent my form off today.

Just to embarass some so-called loyal and die-hard Charlton fans, i'm a 19-year old Man Utd fan who's just renewed for the fifth year in a row. Didn't even have to think about it.

    C'mon you reds! (Charlton :P )

Mine turned up Saturday morning just as i was off to the shop. So i filled it in and 10 mins later it was in the post box.

I would rather watch charlton lose than be dragged around the shops on a saturdy afternoon.

    Besides, it's in the blood.

Of course, year 50 for me. Used to hop in at Sammy Bartrams, stand on a big empty terrace, sometimes get chased by the opposing supporters and the odd right hander. Real crap food ( if any ) toilets that stank to high heaven and a team that always lost, especially away from home. Small crowds, small club, big ground.

    These are the good days.

As said in the other thread, I wouldn't dream of missing our championship winning season.

With the takeover we should have a far better season. Undecided at present.

Will do it but not in a rush to - pretty peeved at the moment - need something to happen to make me love going to the football again - Saturday feels much the same as going to work at the moment - that isn't right.

Did mine last summer (five year VIP) so no choice but will be renewing Henry Jnr's (if an application form ever arrives!) and Valley Gold.

A big problem is - do you need one? I like to get one to support the club but in years gone by, I got one as I knew I wouldn't be able to get to see certain games if I didn't. That isn't a problem now and to be honest, I'm not particularly looking forward to Saturday - I pretty much know what to expect - If I didn't have a ticket, I wouldn't be going. I've had to miss a couple of games due to commitments and with cheap offers for some games- the savings can be pretty marginal - if there are savings at all.

I realise everyone has different financial commitments.

I buy my ST knowing that i will most likely only be able to attend 15-18 games but when i can make it i know the people around where i sit and i see it as a way of supporting my club almost as if i were giving money to a charity.

Yes, and that is pretty much why I buy one now- just observing that the rationale for getting one is different now to what it used to be not so long ago. For the club to move forwards, it needs to attract supporters who might not perceive buying a season ticket as an act of charity, by giving them a product that is enjoyable - It isn't much fun watching limited, hard working and negative sides come out and succesfully stifle us which is what we are faced with in most home games at this level. You go to the theatre and everybody invoved is trying to entertain you - you go to Charlton Tranmere and Tranmere have failed if you are entertained. We need to ensure these teams fail most of the time- that's how to boost crowds - I have to literally drag my 10 year old son to games- that isn't right and a real issue for the future - one I think teh board realise.

    That's exactly it for me.

Money is a bit tight at the moment, but this to me is my annual charitable contribution to ensure the club continues running.

I don't do it to save money, i partly do it to save the hassle of queuing for tickets, but i wholly do it to give the club something to function from. A kind of guilty pleasure i suppose.
