fancy us for a draw, but concerned that matches this time of the year when one team have something to play for and the other one doubt usually result in the obvious

Southampton will be over confident. 3-1 to us.

Like your thinking. We should just go for goals, fuck the defence, everyone up front!
  • If we can get an earlier goal i think we should be able to win this,
with them having everything to play for with Automatic places up for grabs
    1-3 (why not)

I think we have a lot to play for - well a lot of the players do - their Charlton futures! Really feel this is a test the team should be relishing - Southampton are big and strong and have players with good touch and some qulaity but they are not the best footballing side in the league by quite a margin. I think they can be got at - are we confident enough or good enough to get at them though? One thing is for sure- If they are on top, they will win.
  • A hard-won point, to make it just one defeat in our last five.

Comfortable 2-0 win for SCC (Semedo x2 OG's)

[cite]Posted By: Redmidland[/cite]A week or so ago (before the home game with Saints) I would have said that this away game is one where we are going to get well and truely beaten. However after the last few results (including the loss to Rochdale which those that went said, in the main, we put in a good performance) I now believe we can get a point. It wont be 0-0 thats for sure, but a 1-1 or 2-2 is more than feasible.
    .

Good call from Red Midland. Probably too soon to expect a win at St Marys but the pressure will be on Saints not us and we have a lot to play for as far as 2012 employment prospects are concerned. The last performance at home will have made a huge difference to player confidence.

If (repeat, if) we can scrape a draw, some real belief and positive energy will start throbbing through the club again but a tight defeat will be no disgrace.

2-2 (BWP with both of ours)

If they score early we'll get smashed 3 or 4 nil.

If we get to half time we might nick it.

Either way 7-1 is very tempting.

I think 10/3 on the draw is fairly generous as well

    Sullivan
    Solly Dailly Llera Bassone
    Parett Semedo Racon
    Eccles Benson BWP

    Subs
    Worner
    Stewart
    Doherty
    Waggy
    McOxo
    Reid
    Nouble

This IMO would win it 2-1

Even though Parrett has been impressive, maybe put Stewart in for him to be a bit more defensive. Wouldn't be gutted if it was the same team from Saturday though.
  • Nice to see half are as confident of a saints win as me. Think we will struggle down there. I am going for 3-2 to them. Benson to get the first, then they go 3-1 up and Phillips penalty in the 87 minute leading to a last minute push

No changes to the starting eleven please Powell, with another substitute appearance for Michael Stewart. I'm not expecting anything from this one, a point would be great.
