[cite]Posted By: Elthamaddick[/cite]was told today that Elliott has already signed for Newcastle

If Carroll is £50m then Robbie must be at least a million

Staffordshire or Tyne and Wear? Fair play if he has, just for the pound notes.

I heard Elliot had left today as well. Not sure how I feel about it yet but think it's been a mixture of poor keeping and a poor defence in front of him that have seen him struggle this season.

If he has signed for Newcastle he'll be 4th choice.

    Tim Krul
    Fraser Forster
    Steve Harper

Will all be infront of him.

I meant to add that the rumour I heard was that he'd had his contract cancelled after having disagreements with CP.

Very strange. What disagreements would he be having? He's supposedly injured. Interesting!

Could be total garbage but I heard it at the game today.

I saw him after the match, everyone was asking why wasn't he playing...he said he was fit, but looked in a good mood.
  • How can he just have his contract cancelled ? Unless by mutual agreement. If not agreed by both parties it would effectively be a sacking wouldn't it ? I don't believe a word of it.
  • [cite]Posted By: StubleyAddick[/cite]he said he was fit

    the plot thickens then

What are you lot going on about ?
He got injured. Sullivan replaced him. Sullivan has done well (apart from his kicking).
    Sullivan keeps his place.

Not sure that's right. You bring in an emergency loan only until your first choice is fit . A loan doesn't keep his place.

I think I'm right in saying Elliot wasn't fit so we extended Sullivan's loan to the end of the season.
If he's here, why not play him, if most supporters think he's done better than Elliot & Worner ?

Sullivan could sign for us on a free in summer if he does well though.

Yes, but what about mindless ill-informed gossip and idle speculation? After all if someone in the Norf upper says it true it must be.

No Elliot said he was fit...to me and a load others outside West Stand today after the match...i dunno if they still wanted to see what Sullivan was like though.

It's quite plain, what I said. Sullivan replaced Elliot, because Elliot was injured.Sullivan has done well, so has has kept his place, even though Elliot is now fit.
(Quite right IMO as he looks the better keeper, although we won't know that unless we give him some games). Simples.

Surely by keeping the loan keeper in goal after your number 1 has been declared fit is really going to piss off your contracted player. Something is not right here and I can't see that Rob will be pleased about the situation. Surely the loan player is just a stand in?

Loan with a view to a permanent deal. And as things stand he'd be a decent first choice for next season

Add the fact that it was Worner on the bench and not Robbie and the plot thickens even more...

(Must admit that I feel much more confident with Sullivan in than Robbie or Worner. Maybe just because he's so vocal compared to our 2 though!)

It does make a pleasant change to see a keeper ordering his defence around.

It does look as though the management prefer Sullivan to Elliot and Worner. From what I've seen of Millwall's keepers, Sullivan looks better than both of them - maybe they won't sell him now!
