Wait till they play it at 5.15pm next year  - does no-one think about the fans that need to travel?

Fans? I don't think the FA know what they are Weegie...

I think it was played with other matches this season due to the Champions League Final needing 2 weeks with no game on the pitch. Might be wrong though.

It was, and next year is going to be the same, plus a 5.15 kick off due to the Euros...

I played golf yesterday afternoon. On my own. Course was empty - it was absolute bliss

That's what happens when you work in IT and have no friends Leroy.

Paulbaconsarnie - Rooney swore aggressively down the camera at people whereas blotelli said it as a matter of conversation. Still not acceptable however it does not deserve a ban whatsoever.

I went on Saturday. My first visit to the new Wembley and my first FA Cup Final. I took Chirpy Junior for his 16th birthday present. I managed to get some Club Wembley passes. He loved it, he'd watch any football match live.

I really enjoyed the occasion, the atmosphere was brilliant, we were at the Stoke end.

You can see us on the Sun 360 photo.

We stayed to see the presentations and Mrs Chirps picked us up at North Greenwich at 6.05pm.

    A great day out.

Same story every year JM. Even the FSF don't go far enough in my opinion. Why shouldn't virtually all the tickets go to supporters? "The football family" can be rewarded with tickets to international games, Club Wembley "not in direct control" of the FA... who chuffin' owns Wembley then? If the FA are not in control, then they are mugs (err... hang on a sec) for allowing it out of their hands. Even when they do act on misuse of tickets they backtrack in five minutes (See: Bobby Charlton). Not being holier that thou, but I have had opportunities for cup final tickets, and turned them down, as I would not want to deprive someone who supported (or followed) one of the clubs actually there of a chance to go, even though they probably ended up in a neutral's hand, my conscience was clear. I do this in the vague hope that one day, it might be the Addicks (or Luton) there, and karma would find me a ticket... :-)

If the FA had not invented Club Wembley then there would have been no Wembley, well not the wonderful stadium it is at least.

A lot of people paid a lot of money for Club Wembley debentures. What are they supposed to do? Advertise their seats on club websites for every match that their own team is not involved in? It happens at all stadia these days, Twickenham, Lords, Wimbledon, The O2 etc. It is the world we live in.

You'd be better off accepting them and then selling them to a real fan at face value

But there are far fewer Club Wembley places than the number given to 'The Football Family.' We are bemoaning the latter not the former.

The football family as you call them is the FA, it's their tournament and their allocation of tickets is reward for all the work among the county FA's that keep the game running throughout the country.

If their is such a thing as a 'football family' then it should operate as such.

If there is a big event in a family, for example a wedding, you don't get other members of the family deciding to have a barbeque instead of going to the service, or go out clubbing instead of going to the reception.

This is effectively what the 'football family' do when they play other matches on the same day as The FA Cup Final or move it from a 3pm Saturday kick-off.

The FA's football family make The Slobs look like the height of etiquette.

    Well said Jimmy.

I have a friend who used to be a ref (failed footballer, but could run rings round me when we played 5-a-side) anyway, he used to get free FA cup final tickets and used to offer them to his mates - sadly, as we all know too well, I had no need of them.
