Russell Slade linked with the Barnsley job

According to the Hackney Gazette and Orient chat rooms ,Slade is poised to move north . Like Parky his family is still up there.

I think this might harm the O's chances next season . Like Bournemouth , Exeter and Rochdale maybe their teams will be broken up and we can take advantage.

    Orient have refused him permission to talk to Barnsley.

    Have to disagree BigRed, took Grimsby and Yeovil to the brink of League 1 and the Championship respectively, kept Brighton up when they looked dead and buried and then did the same with Orient a year later. Also led Orient to the brink of a play off place this season, you could criticise the fact he is a nearly man in terms of promotions but has never had any money to spend and has always overachieved with the resources and size of club. Seems to bring the best out of players aswell imho.

    There was a bad spell at Brighton he had in early 2009/10 but think Orient will miss him overall.
