Surprised a thread hasn't been started yet. Heart goes out to Tom, his two younger brothers, his Mum and the rest of the Daley family. Lost his Dad age just 40 over the weekend to cancer. RIP Mr Daley.

Saw a documentary last year following Tom at the Commonwealth Games. Just 16 but he is such a level headed lad and a credit to his parents. His Dad was unable to follow him for the whole of the games due to having chemotherapy but when he was there you could see it meant so much to the both of them. Very sad.

Yes very sad,you can have all the talent in the world, but you can still be hit by tragedy and losing your dad at 16 is tragedy for any lad.  Hope he does the business next year to celebrate his father.

His Dad sounded like a very decent bloke, and a great parent. He leaves behind some wonderful memories for his family to carry through life. RIP
