He claims his departure had nothing to do with outside influence.

Whether that's true is another matter...

sounds like a good time to go, not much to live up to and not a lot to lose, a reputation to be made, plus of course, a few hundred K a year for the trousering of

But seriously, how can you work for someone called 'Randy Lerner'?  At least work for someone called 'Randy Qualified' (see Allardice and the porn bros)

He'll get time to build his own team at Villa so could be a good move for him. Did well at Wales and Blackburn, City he did okay but was always going to be sacked, Fulham solid enough but they reached there peak last season with the UEFA Cup.

Would like to see McClaren go for the Fulham job.

Problem with Villa is if they have a poor start to the season then Bent, Albrighton, Agbonlahor etc could all up and leave in January, and the squad is quite thin as it is. Fulham have peaked and can't go higher, so I see where he is coming from when he says he wants to move on and gain more experience as an up and coming manager
  • Villa aint interested according to reports, Mr Lerner is very particular with the way he employees, he doesnt touch managers that are at other clubs, and he is quoted as being unhappy with how hughes agreed to extend his contract 48 hrs ago yet quit within a day .

unless theres another mgr to go or hughes is going chelsea

I am reading this as meaning you want to see Fulham relegated.

Hughes would never drop out of the Prem (ala Curbs....) and Cardff are skint.

Note another job for Curbs drifts by....he'll never get back in the Prem.
