My sister was christened at the Bishop Ridley church on The Green.

Falcon Tandoori is my choice, it's almost as good, probably the 2nd best curry house in SE London / NW Kent!

Anyone local who wants a christening, then come and see me at the Church!

The Old Westwood Primary School (that I went to) is now named after the above church.
Now a nice C of E School which bigs up the area further more!

now this is quite an interesting fact... winston churchill once drove past falconwood in a black daimler and reports say that he didnt knowingly know that he had until someone told him. but heres the best bit, when asked if he'd like to go back and drive past it again he said no!

Got a takeaway from there a few months ago and found it a bit bland to be honest. Prefer the other curry house along there.

The fields just along from the station were wall to wall football pitches and was where I played what passed for football back in the 70's. Pint in the Falcon afterwards, Sunday roast and the Persuaders on the box afterwards. Life was good.

We leave/join the A2 at F'wood every time we go to the Valley and I've often wondered about the nonsense of the 'no left turn'. We've seen many a driver ignore it which means they have to swing out to make the turn and avoid the kerb line which makes it all quite dangerous. Otherwise I'm afraid the only times I've had dealings with F'wood is a blow out in a customers car in the east bound fast lane which was interesting, and my brother's funeral at the cemetary, which wasn't.

The turn off the A2 is in Greenwich; the area in front of the station is in Bexley. That's why.. Airman Brown
Good to see Greenwich and Bexley  have a close co-ordinated working policy then!.
You could originally turn onto the A2 off Hook Lane, but was closed to stop traffic 'Rat - runs'
The 'logic' of Bexley/Greenwich council and traffic management is featured every morning on the daily
delays at the sun in the sands tailbacks, along with the 50 mph speed limit, that seems to cause such stress and chaos!
Not sure if after the Greenwich/Bexley health authority liason was another great moment in local democracy, so be careful what you wish for with this bunch !

Many many times when my kids were young. Lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon. Tea and cake in the lovely garden while the nippers ride round on the trains.

There has been no sightings of a falcon for just over 41 years.
