    A few ways to do it, but I use a VHS player, attached to a Canopus box using a Scart lead. Then the Canopus box uses Firewire to connect with a Mac. I then import using iMovie, with the Canopus box/ VHS player acting as a camera input. It uploads in real time so an hour long tape takes and hour to upload. It's really, really easy. Alas, YouTube takes forever to upload the videos!
