Recently had a theatre fest saw Shadowlands last week, really good both moving and funny.
I'm sorry Primeminister, follow up tother Yes Minister and Yes PrimeMinister TV series. If you can make the transition of Jim Hacker and Sir Humphrey it's quite good.
Last night in the Orchard Tent in "DIrty Dartford" we saw Sarah Pascoe and loved it. She has a very laid back style, unlike a lot of the frenetic stand ups we have seen in the past.0 -

I know there aren’t that many youngsters on here, though many have kids / grandkids. It seems Romeo and Juliet at the Howard Pinter with Noah Jupe (Hamlet in Hamnet) and Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) is quite a hot ticket. Opens in mid March. I’m going at the end of the month.2

I am desperate for two tickets for The Cherry Orchard in Stratford Upon Avon this summer, but as soon as it was announced every ticket for every performance sold out.

Out with the Buckleys at The Palladium last Thursday.
It was absolutely appalling.
Even they apologised for it being shit (their words) on at least 10 occasions.
I wanted to leave after 15 mins, but the wife made me stay for most of it.
Plenty were leaving before the end.
Worst thing I've ever seen at the theatre.0 -

Saw Prima Facie last week - absolutely incredible performance from Jodie Comer, kept the whole theatre gripped on her own for an hour and 40 minutes, whilst also moving the set around, doing the costume changes on stage etc.
Very intense, especially the second half, but amazing to watch. Crazy she manages that twice in a day on Saturdays, 7 or 8 performances a week etc.1 -
Thought The Ballad of Johnny and June was very dissapointing. If you want to see Johnny Cash done well try The Johnny Cash Roadshow at The Beaverwood on 19th April. They are excellent.0

I saw her do it a few years ago and thought that was it. One of the most stressful brilliant moving funny sad pieces of theatre and acting i have ever seen. Top top stuff and as you say god knows how she keeps it up.
I want to take the wife as i went with one of my daughters and her girlfriend last time.1 -
It was Canterbury - think it's coming to the end of the tour now but might be a few tickets left somewhere!

We went to see it a couple of weeks back. I didn't know anything about it before and if I did I probably would have given it a miss because of the subject. Going to watch Hugh Bonneville in some thing about CS Lewis on saturday, lots of seats left available when i booked on tuesday which is slightly concerning0

I saw that too - Canterbury on Tuesday for me. Absolutely amazing performance - spontaneous standing ovation. Incredible as you say that she has been performing it so often - West End then Broadway and now a regional tour. She puts heart and soul into to it and had tears in her eyes at the end. Genuinely one of the best / most powerful pieces of theatre I’ve seen. Seems like we're following each other round theatre-wise! Yeah, saw it last night and really enjoyed it. The guy playing the lead role was great and for such a low budget production they pulled off some decent special effects and landed a good amount of jump scares - so much so, that in one instance a woman sitting a couple of rows in front of me actually screamed!Mortimerwasgod said:
