Always remember to barter with the Brasses at the casinos. They always start of at a $1,000 you should be able to get them down to less $100. They will find you as well just play the slots in the early hours & they play the machine next to you & start negotiating.
At the end of your stay, when you shuttle to the McCarran airport, spare a thought for me. Many many years ago, having lost absolutely everything on a blackjack table, I couldn't affort to pay for the shuttle and had to walk the 6/7 miles to the airport on a pitch dark night. It took me ages, couldn't see a thing Follow M2's advice : you can't win. European casinos offer you better odds on all the games; Just enjoy the sight of armed policemen standing aside roulette and blackjack tables.
Las Vegas is the best place in the world, just ask the hotel or the name of the outlet centre for shopping. Like Wss said don't go in half measures. You can make the place as expensive or as cheap as you want. Circa du solel "o" at the belagelio is amazing. See as many hotels as possible there great inside
If you're not a regular gambler/card player find out what to do before you go, otherwise you end up feeling like a right plum standing watching everyone else, who does know what they're doing (losing money generally).
Would have had a lot more confidence to get involved in some of the games if I understood the rules and how to play but on the plus side it did save me a shed load of cash and as I didn't go for the gambling it didn't really matter in the scheme of things.
