Millwall Reject Millwall Reject, Hello Hello!
  • Probably would be good for a season at this level why not. Sullivan and Elliot could do with someone to learn from...
  • Elliot not been the same since  ...ET went Home

Getting silly now, we're being linked with all sorts of characters. I dunno If he could still do a job, maybe.
  • Source?
  • Source?

    Red please
  • you police :-)

    Source?
  • Imagine if there is any truth in this or indeed us going for another keeper then Elliot may well be off. He has been loosely linked to West Ham and is rated.

  • Sullivan will be Number One Choice.----Elliot may well be going through the tunnel to the Olympic FC

Nothing to do with me!!! LOL
  • was also told this by someone at the club yesterday elliott off to west ham
  • I don't think Elliot is that bad Has a lot of improvement to do before he is a 1st choice in the CCC maybe as back up but maybe he'll develop more at WH.

Needs to work on his fitness though, gets injured far too often and that hasn't helped (getting beaten from long distance far too often)
  • If Elliot goes OoohAaah will self combust.
  • maybe we've been offered good money for elliot that we can't turn down .... fiver or tenner maybe
  • The Kasey Keller who is currently the starting keeper for MLS's Seattle Sounders?

MLS salaries are publicly released.  Keller is currently earning US$250k to have started every game in goal for his wildly popular hometown club (a team that substantially outdraws CAFC in the emerald city).

But, sure, he probably wants to go to the UK to play in League 1 after the MLS season ends in October.
  • I always have rated Keller but can't see this happening as CPA says why would he want to trade Seattle for London in his last season as a pro .

Perhaps there's more opportunities for breaking into coaching or punditry.
  • There are more opportunities for coaching and punditry in the U.S. and as a former EPL player and U.S. international, Mr. Keller would draw a higher salary here.

In any event, the main point is that MLS is currently in season.  Keller is the starting keeper for the team that is second in the league only to Beckham's L.A. Galaxy.  No other keeper has started a league fixture for the Sounders.  Our season ends in late October, with playoffs (something the Sounders would make) the season will not end until November.

Keller's contract is with the single-entity that is the MLS and to leave, unless he has a release clause, any club would have to negotiate transfer rights for one of the league's most recognizable commodities with the league itself.

Whatever folks think about the quality of the MLS, few league officials would be happy with a player as important for his marketing power to U.S. fans as his skill on the pitch leaving to join the third division of English football.
