If you had to define the word irony, this would be it.

I wonder if his mates have changed their stance on the helmet rule?!

    My old mum only agreed to my having a 'bike as long as I always wore a helmet (they weren't compulsory  in the early '60s) and over the years I would have been in serious trouble on a few occassions if I hadn't been wearing a skid lid. I have never really understood people's objections to them though I do think it should also be made compulsory for cyclists too.
