What's the general opinion of Sam Williams the trialist ? Worth a look or move on ?

Move on. Quickly. His record is appalling. Wont improve us in anyway.

Yeovil fans on Twitter think its hysterical that he a) scored b) has found another club.

Thought it was a decent exercise from us with the players who especially caught my eye being: Warren, Wiggins, Bover, Stephens and Green. I can tell you all that Carl Jenkinson was at the game, sat a row down from me near the Welling dugout and he had a lengthy chat before the game with Davisson, interesting to see him there.

Green was star of the game and ran the show imo. Elliot had lost alot of weight and looked like he may challenge Sullivan for the number 1. Both Warren and Solly looked good at right back, Morrison and Taylor looked good, Doherty was decent. Wiggins was good going forward made a few mistakes at the back but made up for them, Anderson (if it was him) also looked fairly decent. Stephens looked good and calm on the ball, he always wanted it and knew what to do with the ball, Hollands impressed me with some good strong tackles good passing and a nice freekick which Morrison got on the end of. Jacko was decent and Davison looked good but a bit light weight. Pritchard was better than I thought he would be and put in a good effort while as did Bover, Waggy was poor and it seems he still can't cross. Williams decent, Benno decent, Hayes poor and Popo if it was him didn't do much. Green was class with some exellent long range passing a cracking shot and a few clever tricks.

I don't think we have signed Osbourne yet! Did you mean Mambo?

No Harry Osbourne did not feature today. I'm guessing the player Covered End originally referred to as Osbourne was in fact Yado Mambo.
  • I thought it was Harry Osbourne, I'm not sure who it was then.

The big black fella in the first half built like a tank, powerful in the air and with the turning circle of a WW2 aircraft carrier was Mambo.

  • What happened to Evina today - is he injured?
Yes, nothing serious, muscle strain and had to have a steroid jab this morning.  Will be going to Spain with the squad.

There is always a bell end at football,

row G seat 42 (roughly) new stand

    Blue jacket little fat prick.

If your reading would love to lay you out.

    Green looked good.
You can't just leave it at that Cray.  Please tell us why. Was it the blue jacket you didn't like or his little fat prick?
A mate said 'Waggy is getting in the positions but is not getting that final ball in the box' this fat bloke then said from behind us 'he has good work rate' then started getting mouthy he was one of them blokes who does the washing up at home and when he is out the house is suddenly the big man, its known as little man syndrome. My mate then said you can have 100m sprinter out there but there needs to be a final ball, it then gets a little out the hand and the fat bloke shuts up when green comes on and gets the final ball in and proves what my mate said.

Apparently this bloke is well known down the valley for being a tool according to another guy there. He sits in the east stand. And his blue jacket was shocking.

Oi, I'll have you know my dad is very knowledgeable when it comes to right wingers for Charlton, he told me getting rid of Ambrose was a huge mistake

Enjoyed that today. Liked the look of Green, great right foot (not just for the goal), really can pick out a pass or cross. Don't agree with the comparison to John Robinson, I wouldn't say he's anything like him? Waggy is more like Robinson, not skilful but all about work rate and energy. Green will hopefully give us a proper creative player out wide who can also score goals, he's more like Andy Reid than John Robinson.

From what I saw it looks like he'll be an important player for us (thought the same after seeing Reid for the first time for us). He looks like he will cross or pass earlier from deep or happily take a player on. When the chance wasn't there he'd keep possession rather than goal for the hopeful ball.

Bover was pretty much what you'd expect from how Powell described him. Had some good touches, some mistakes but he wants the ball and is comfortable with it. If he plays in the first team I'm sure it'll be as a winger and not a central midfielder. Promising but not there yet, and we'll need to play decent football to get something out of him.

Hollands did quite well. Obviously not seen Alonso yet but I think we'll see those two in CM. Rest generally did ok. Williams took his goal well, wasn't poor but didn't stand out apart from that. I'm sure we'll be looking at bringing in a striker and he won't be first choice, we need the option of a target man and he doesn't look that type of player.

Looking forward to seeing something closer to our best 11.

Both our Charlton teams wanted to play it on the deck - good to see. Green's was the stand-out in a number of good performances. Mambo was the best comedy value, firstly for giving Waggy a right slating for a wayward cross, secondly when he turned up on the left wing.
