As far as the paint-pot goes, i really think we should try to win it this season. Would be a good morale boost to do the double and it's our last chance, as championship teams can't enter. ;-)

We're going to do the double this season, league winners and the JPT

Can't find odds on JPT winners on Paddy power

Would be a good return on winning both.

simply for the reason that you have to be a 3rd/4th tier club to be in it i feel embarrassed that we're in it

I know what you mean , but i'd rather watch Charlton at Wembley than England.

Our record at Wembley is alternate wins and losses. So if we reach the play off final, we had better already have lost in the Carling or JPT earlier, otherwise our last visit would have been THE Sunderland game.

i agree with this, JPT is the sort of trophy that should be coveted by the likes millwall, id rather wait for a trip to Wembley for a meaningful competition that a side who has spent almost the entirety of its existence in the top two tiers should be winning

Like all seemingly meaningless trophies, it suddenly becomes more important when you can sniff Wembley

I hope we get a big german team in the second round... Oh wait....

Ask Southampton fans. I think they quite enjoyed winning it 2 years ago, despite their history as mainly a top two division side.
