The Newcastle "lost on the dual carriageway" story and the squad playing cricket is true, as are many of the others.However he said that these things weren't seen as negatives by the players and had only been portrayed that way in the press.
He fully supported Dowie and thought we would have been ok, as had put in a performance in all the early games we narrowly lost.He said the majority of players also backed Dowie, you would always have some griping if not playing etc.
He told Murray he wasn't happy with decision and not happy with the "we did a survey" as this implied that the players had been asked and had a problem, when apparently none of the players were asked.
He lives North London so drives thru Blackwall Tunnell daily.Doesn't like to live too close to training ground as needs to "get away from football".
