only wondering as I'm in a bit of a rush to get there, given the amount of rain in the past 24 hours...I'm assuming it'll be o.k, but it doesn't look like letting up

I wouldn't have thought so unless we get a sustained period of torrential rain just prior to kick off - the pitch soaked up the rain very well on Saturday I hought.

Imagine if it did, first due to riots and now a water logged pitch in August, we'll never enter the Carling Cup at this rate.

It'll be the longest we've been in the cup for years!

Miserable outside but doesn't look biblical yet in Central London.
  • It better not be waterlogged. I've got my kid cousin to get a season ticket, a shirt and go to his first away game this year. They can't keep postponing games or he might go back to watching football and sky and wearing an awful Lampard shirt

Only light rain predicted with a slight breeze, pitch will be fine.

Chicago Addick came over for the Reading game 2 weeks ago and it was called off after he got here from the US, imagine if he'd come back for this one and then it was waterlogged !
  • I wouldn't worry about it.  I'm in Downham, and the rain is very light.  My cat had been wandering about in it, and he's a fusspot.

Hope millwank had not included Racon in their 1st team plans for tonight.
    He doesn't do rain.
