I seem to remember reading or hearing that Powell was ready to keep him but then Wiggins became available and he (Bessone) allegedly didn't want to stay as second choice. Hence Evina coming in too at the same time.Huskaris said:I thought he was quite good.

All I can remember is the rocket that almost smashed the bar into pieces in the 0-0 on the final day vs Hartlepool.
Maybe it's an indication as how bad that game was that's my lasting memory of it.3 -

Yes he certainly came in after Evina. Bournemouth kept saying he wasn't for sale, all of a sudden he seemed to be ready to sign for Watford, happily we managed to speak to him & he came to the Valley instead.LenGlover said:

Seem to remember a lot at the time would have been happy for us to sign him. Poor player now that he's at Millwall...
I said at the time he was ok but hoped we would sign better. Fortunately we did.1
