Dean Kiley dinner - Kent CCC December 2

From the Kent CCC website:

''Kent County Cricket Club is giving supporters the chance to meet
former Charlton and Republic of Ireland international Dean Kiely.

The popular goalkeeper, who is now on the coaching staff with
Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, is returning to the county on
Friday 2nd December for a Sportsman’s Evening at the St Lawrence Ground
in Canterbury.

Tickets are on sale, priced at £40, which includes a sumptuous
three-course meal. Dean, who also works as a pundit on BBC Radio Five
Live, will tell stories of playing for Charlton’s popular former
manager, Alan Curbishley, as well turning out alongside current England
international Scott Parker and Addicks boss Chris Powell.

Kiely, who was named Charlton player of the year on two occasions
and made 248 appearances for the Addicks, is an ambassador for Demelza
Hospice Care for Children and is clearly looking forward to the evening.
He said: “I’m a big cricket fan and still follow the fortunes of Kent.
They work closely with Demelza, a charity close to my heart. The Club
has worked hard off the field and now has tremendous facilities.
Charlton have a big following in Kent and I’m hoping that many
supporters will come along and welcome me back.”

Kent Cricket CEO, Jamie Clifford, added: “We are delighted to
welcome Dean to the St Lawrence Ground and hope that many of our members
and supporters will back the evening. Several of our players support
Charlton and the likes of Stuart Leary and Derek Ufton, two former Kent
favourites, both played football for the Addicks. I am looking forward
to what will be an excellent evening of entertainment.”
