I'm the same as everyone else, absolutely stunned by this. Came across as such a nice bloke, a cracking footballer and was showing signs of turning into a good manager.
It makes you wonder what is so bad to drive a person to take there own life? leaving behind a wife and 2 children. However, RIP and hope his family overcome this soon.
Same as most of you. Couldn't believe this having watched him on Focus yesterday. Always thought he was a great player and was just starting to see some real progress with Wales. Shocked...RIP.
Lots of opening up about how he has gone through depression, spending loads of time alone. He said he has been close to suicide and understands why people do it.
Blimey, only saw him on FF yesterday. So sad. Depression is such an evil illness. Only until you see someone suffer from it, like I see in my brother, do you realise how debilertating it can be. My thoughts go out to his family and friends, especially his two boys. RIP.

I'm just so shocked, so sad for his family
If that's what has caused it, I feel so sorry for everyone. RIP Gary.
Looking at what Stan Collymore's been saying about his own depression over the past few days, this is very spooky.

Tragic, absolutely tragic. RIP.
RIP
always came across as a nice fella
That he's been unable to face going out of his house for several days.
What terrible news. God love him.
Can't believe it. Shocking. Always come across as a top bloke and professional on Tv. Add to that a good player.
Rest In Peace Garry Speed
