Hughes 8 We weren't as good on the ball 2nd half but Hughes made very valuable contribution to the clean sheet.
Overall I thought we were magnificent. Hudds played decent but they never really got a sniff once we'd scored. Best team performance since Curbs' days. The 98 play off team would've been proud of it and they were a mightly well drilled and determined bunch.

Overall what a display, defence was enormous last night, and boy can we hit teams hard when we want.
Hamer - 8.5 Caught so many crosses and made a brilliant save from Parkin. Handling was superb.
Solly 8.5 - Defended brilliantly but once we went 2-0 didn't get forward much.
Morrison - 8.5 Carried on from his Brentford performance and looks to dominate from the 1st minute.
Taylor - 8.5 Had to do his share of the defending tonight and did it really well.
Wiggins - 8 Like Solly didn't get forward much after the 2nd goal but defended superbly and showed great skill in tight spots.
Green - 8 Looks like the player who can supply a killer cross or pass.
Hollands - 8 Won loads of headers in midfield and has a superb attitude.
Russell - 7 Won his headers and turned well.
Ephraim - 7 Looks fine and worked very hard. Starved of the ball in the 2nd half. Superb touch.
Kermorgant - 9 Unplayable in the air and never stopped. Him v Morrison would be great contest.
Wright Phillips - 7.5 Lots of hard running and commitment. On the few occasions we got it into his feet, showed what a good footballer he is.
Hughes - 8 Absolutely everywhere winning headers, tackles and clearing his lines. We needed someone like him 2nd half.
Unlike others I wasn't nervous in the 2nd half (may have been different if HTFC had got one back). Each defender knows what to do and where to go and our goalkeeper looks the real deal to me. We have a tremendous spine to the team and a will to keep the opposition out. Leon Cort is a really good defender and he can't get near a start at the moment. Full credit to both teams for the clean battle and to the referee (although...wasn't there a clear push on a Charlton player in the 2nd half?)

Taylor 9 Another great game. Lots of reasons for our success so far this season but having two solid as a rock CHs is one of the most important IMHO. We've scored goals in the last two years but we've let a lot in a well. Not any more.
Wiggins 8.5 Very good game against a good wide man
Green 8. An assist and ran at them whenever he could. And I still get the feeling there is more to come. Some team is going to catch him on the wrong day and take a thrashing.
