Going to do this one missing a few over the festive period so making sure on this. Gotta be a stay over I reckon
  • Going to try do this one, think it'll be a good game (although I thought that about the last time we played them..)
  • Deffo for me. This, orient and fulham plus the etihad in the 4th round sorts me out
  • If you're struggling go to the Burger King (away end turn right down leppings lane, next to law bros fuel station) and order a taxi 0114 2393939, they will be a few mins away.

Club promotion to get the numbers?
I take this back. We will get the numbers easy
  • Richie 8:

The 18:24 from Sheffield to Doncaster for under a fiver and then there are trains to Edinburgh, including one for £33 changing at York that gets you there soon after 10. Late night for the lad but you will be able to stay for our 4th and the 5th as well and to give the lads a clap after the game. Also you'd have time for a couple of pints afterwards.

    Glad to be of service!

hoping to go, all depends if moving day before or not
  • Never been to Hillsborough, but i hear its no where near as quick to get to the station as i found bramall lane to be earlier in the season.
Is it nigh on impossible to make the 17:35 train back to London?
The next one is 17:44, but the one after that is 18:27 (and it's 40 minutes quicker than the 17:44 one and arrives only 4 minutes later)

    Proper anorak stuff

I got the 18.27 back from after Sheff United this year and gonna do the same for this one. Gives plenty of time for a pint in the Sheffield Tap.

You will need to walk around 10 minutes from the station to the get on a tram for about 10/15 minutes until you reach the ground, it does get pretty busy and hectic with all the fans piling onto the tram after the game though.

theres a tram stop at the back of the station with trams directly to hillsboro from there, can take about 20-30 mins, on the way back will be a lot longer unless you left with 10 mins to go
  • Is this likely to sell out quickly? I don't get paid till next week.

    Bryan

Thanks for the info.I'm still stuffed as I live in SW Scotland and if I go via Edinburgh I need the 22:00 to Glasgow at the latest to get to a station near my house. So I am stuffed for the sake of 14 minutes.I was beat by only a few minutes to get back from The Bescot Stadium on Saturday.Looks to me as if the planner has decided I'm not getting to many Charlton games.Carlisle is a definite as that is only an hour and a half.I am looking in to the Chesterfield game as well.

  • We should not have to want the club to do a subsidised travel for this game.

People should be wanting to make the effort for this game, potentially this could decide who wins the title at this early stage
  • The chances of this game selling out are virtually nil.  Such is our away support I do not think we would sell 5000 tickets even if they were free

I want to go to this. Just want the cheapest travel. Being straight after Xmas is tough on the old bank account so not up for paying 30-40 quid just on travel. Might ask for it as an Xmas pressie
