So have the Football League announced Novemeber and I missed it or will CP get the dreaded prize today.  Although the millstone only applies to mortals and not to footballing demi-gods such as CP

Meanwhile I did read that the Bulgarian Prime Minister won the Bulgarian Footballer of the Year award!

Surely Lee Clark wins this, after all they are still unbeaten
  • Can we start a campaign like in 'Brewsters Millions', to 'NOT' vote for Chris Powell. (For the younger Lifers, this was a film staring Richard Pryer back in the 80's). Like Curbs i'd love for Powell to win Manager of the Season.

Surely there are no other contenders other than Powell?

We've brushed off the lower league cup hoodoo, the Sky hoodoo, why not make a treble and win all games in December as well after Powelly winning this?!

    It'll go to....Paul Dickov...
  • Will be CP and I reckon he will win it a few more times this season.
  • If the Manager of the Month curse is lifted ( ie we continue our winning ways) then NWKA might venture to invite SCP to Bexley Sports & Social Club.....
  • will go to lee clarke they broke the record dont you know

MK Dons won all 4 games aswell

    our results 5-2 v preston, 4-0 Halifax, 1-0 Brentford and 2-0 v Huddersfield

    MK's results 3-1 v Rochdale, 6-0 v Nantwich, 5-1 v Colchester and 4-3 vs Wycombe.

Even though they have scored more goals surley Chris Powell has to win it for ending Huddersfield unbeaten run of 788 games.

  • my money is on mk dons.

Mk dons manager deserves it, very likeable & not too much up his own 'arris. Plus they beat Nantwich by 6 and we only managed 4 against Halifax.
  • Give it to Robinson the bottle of champagne tastes much better when you are looking at a nice bit of silver ware as the sun beats down on you in May.

Anyone BUT C.P, he has yet to win and look how well that has worked for us so far! Superstitious I know but I don't care.

Powell nominated for Manager of the Month and Morrison nominated for Player of the Month
  • The above stats show that winning it makes no difference but I know that when curbs ever won it we nearly always suffered the curse. Although Curbs was always a bit arrogant and maybe let it go to his head. We are in a fairly comfortable position at the minute so we can afford to drop a couple of points and it will be a nice bit of recognition for what Powells done this season. Rather he got it now than any other month so far.

By virtue of beating Huddersfield it will be us

Anything else is simply a joke.

If we got to Christmas - several points clear and only 1 defeat but not having won the manager of the month at all there would be huge outcry from the anti-racism brigade as well as the common sense brigade
  • Its cursed.

he can win manager of the year at the end of the season.

it is not a curse for Curbs or anyone else, usually just a return to normality after a good spell!

Either way. I don't want SCP to win it.
