Sky HD to laptop/pc

I am losing the sky box soon but want to keep the saved recordings. Is there an easy way to transfer the contents of the sky hard disc to a laptop or PC?

    not easily no, due to the codecs Sky put on their programme data. It can be done (there's loads of info on google about it), but you need quite a bit of software and hardware.

    Easiest way is to connect a dvd recorder to your sky box and make a dvd of them, before copying this to the pc.
