Good post Len.
The two Euro MPs who used to me members of the New Britain Party are existing MEPs I think - Mike Natrass and Jeff Titford.
I don't think that UKIP is intrinsically a racist/fascist party. But it has many policies whcih are attractive to such people (including leaving the EU and agressive anti-immigration policies, anti-multiculturalism etc). UKIP also has some prospect of success unlike the BNP. UKIP has expelled BNP infiltrators but I'm sure there are more.
It seems to me a bit similar to Labour in the early 1980s. Not a communist/Trotskyist party as such but with enough common ground to attract marxists and suffer from infiltration.

.........................
UKIP have zero chance of getting any MPs elected or success, in yesterday's by-election they were beaten into fourth place by the Lib-Dem candidate and after the last 18 months when the Lib-Dems have been doing their utmost to look politically irrelevant that's some achievement.
You'd have thought that the odd Eurosceptic Tory MP might have crossed the aisle and joined the party giving them an MP via the backdoor but despite being able to take that route they all seem to want to remain in the mostly pro-Europe Tory party, I can't think why it hasn't happened, presumably they consider any chance of getting re-elected to be zero.

There was a picture of him in the paper today, without a pint in his hand.5

Hate him with a passion.2

I see Cameron is trying to bring in a law that stops UK citizens who go and fight for the rebels will get back in England, but Clegg and his cronies say no, they are English and should be allowed back, I bet Farage will love this0
-
I don't know how anyone can hate him really. He stands up against the blatent lack of democracy within an organisation that has a massive impact upon our daily life. In return he gets yelled a racist by the ignorant masses.4

Political correctness has gone wrong. Can't say anything without being called a racist.cafcnick1992 said:I don't know how anyone can hate him really. A few left wing loonies reckon UKIP is some kind of posh version of the BNP but they fail to look at the facts.1 -
Bless.2

The only reason I hate him is he will probably be the cause of Millitwat getting in with a Glegg (or wetter successor) chaser!
Happy days...0 -
That is a good point. He will split the Twat vote.1

Absolute bell-end Clegg. How would he feel if/when one of them decides to blow a bus up in the name of their warped views.ross1 said:I see Cameron is trying to bring in a law that stops UK citizens who go and fight for the rebels will get back in England, but Clegg and his cronies say no, they are English and should be allowed back, I bet Farage will love this

I doubt it will dent his sense of moral superiority. The Organiser said:

They're marginal seats. I wouldn't read too much into thisC_A_F_C said:

I'd be genuinely shocked if there hasn't been a significant swing to UKIP in the labour heartlands after the revelations of the last few days.Chizz said:

Ok so I should have expanded on that statement.
Whilst UKIP are naturally splitting the right vote there is a massive swing in working class seats (not traditional Tory strongholds) from Labour to UKIP.
The primary reason is job security and also Labours idiocy which saw them try to boost their vote share by opening the immigration door, but lacking any forward thinking when it comes to building new public services to cater for the 1st generation immigrants and their 2nd generation off spring.
Were seeing huge pressures on schools in some areas due to this.0 -
The biggest problem as I see it is if you vote UKIP you'll likely get Labour and therefore no referendum0

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing that.Charlton Dan said:

An effective public speaker. And a supporter of the Old Surrey, Burstow & West Kent Hunt. Avoid.3

Is "a supporter of the Old Surrey, Burstow & West Kent Hunt" Cockney rhyming slang?Anna_Kissed said:An effective public speaker. And a supporter of the Old Surrey, Burstow & West Kent Hunt. Avoid.
