New Striker in January
Ok only a "rumour" & I don't have a name but this came from the same source that told me we were signing a championship defender, the following week we signed Cort.
We will be signing at least one striker on a permanant deal in January. ok not earth shattering news & only to be expected with Benson on the way but good that we're apparently looking at permanant deals rather than loans (if true of course)

I think the SLP said we were looking at a permanent deal for him but was thought unlikely that Leicester would let him go.As a loan though a source from Leicester said it was likely that he would come to us. Whether we would sign 2 strikers I don't know but IMO I think we definately should given that Benson will be on his way. Just look at the bench on saturday, nobody to replace either striker.

It's fairly certain Benson will soon be history, Euell's age has caught up with him to be an impact sub up front but we still have Hayes who has played a major role in the first quarter of the season. Smith presumably is too young and inexperienced so we need another striker. I'm having great difficulty getting my head round this one though; will the new signing be good enough to oust BWP or Yann and would SCP want to upset the apple cart and their partnership - I doubt it. Will he want to be on the bench every week - I doubt it and will there be room for Hayes and the newboy on the bench which if not, might mean Hayes feeling unwanted like he was at Preston and render him useless to the cause. That's why I don't think it will be Schlupp or Boyd but more likely to be Webber who will want to re-establish himself and be on a par with, yet offer something different, to Hayes.
