Hayes has tweeted that he's pissed off, probably because he's not even on the bench. Don't know if tweeting will help his cause.

Really he hasn't started for yonks. Can't be surprised by his reaction has done very little wrong IMO. At least he wants to be involved
  • Yep i guess it shows he wants to play , lets hope his ability matches his passion , next time he's on the pitch.

They ALL want to play but even the thickest player must understand that only 11 can be on the pitch at any one time and three subs.  If Hayes thinks he is better than BWP or Yann then he needs a reality check.  Clarke has scored goals at this level so it is unsurprising that he got the nod today.

Hayes has scored goals at the level above this and was a successful part of a winning team at the start of the season so has every right to question the decision

After seeing Clarkes debut it makes sense why di canio dragged him in the dressing room, was rubbish.
He needs to win us over.

Hope he will improve , did someone say he's not played for 3 games?

He looked a bit off the pace , a bit like a Frank Nouble in the making, or am i being a bit too harsh?

I don't think Hayes thinks he is better than Yann or BWP at all.  In my opinion, he has every right to be angered by Powell's decision to pick Clarke over him today.  Yes, Clarke has scored a good number of goals this season but he has been involved with the team for a day.  How can that possibly warrant favour over someone who for all we know is just as good and has been involved with the squad all year?  Maybe in the future Clarke will prove to be better than Hayes, but based on a days training, I doubt the decision can be justified.

I'm glad you gave him a whole 13 minutes before delivering your judgement.

If it's ok with you I think you need to up your game in future to win us over after a post like that. Fair enough?

Unlucky with the chance he had in his 15 minute appearance. Looked a little sluggish but let's at least give him some time, before we go OTT.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to play and having a moan. However that moan should be to Powell and co in private not in public.

Reckon Powell has seen enough of Hayes to realise he doesn't rate him!

I remember there were people on here that didn't rate Yann when we signed him, give him time to settle. Remember most of the players we signed before pre season even started and so spent months together before the season.

    Patience lads.

Maybe Powell wanted Clarke on the bench because Brentford are physical and managed by a mug? Tactics rather than just ability?

Feel for him also, was important in assists and doing little things well when he was in the squad. Would still have him on the bench instead of when Euell is chosen.

A bit of topic but have any of you seen what Billy Sharpe has been tweeting to the barnsley fans ? After todays revolting, disgusting chants aimed at him. ?

I think your right , we're always quick to judge wanting instant results, would you start him v Fulham and give BWP a rest?

I think Hayes is underrated. He will get more assists than goals this season.
