Sorry for starting a new thread, but couldnt find the old one. Was just wondering what happened when Murphy left us, I remember reading about some nasty stuff he did just before leaving but cant remember what it is.

    @oohaah just something along the lines off it was nice going to an away game and seein the away end full which he wasn't used to

    He had a point to be fair but then signed for a club with a worse away support than ours

    Never liked him at our place he always looked uninterested and thought he was better than he was

    i think he had a real hot spell of form then there was all the will he wont he get in the england squad talk and he wasn't picked and he went wibble and got the strop from there , curbs didn't like his attitude at that point and left him out ... this is all from a ropey memory mind you

    Exactly right.

    He sat smugly in the Spurs Director's box having just signed for them and watched us get beat.
    Horrible bloke with a plastic barbie girlfriend only interested in film premieres and being a celeb.

    Plenty of stick for him on Sat please.

    Think you're right there, the odd thing was Eriksson himself was talking up Murphy, then didn't pick him. To me, he always seemed to be class one game in three and anonymous in the others.
