I'm pleased for him, apparently he did not know much about it.

It might have deflected hugely off him and over the line ..... but striker's instinct, at least he was in the right place at the right time.

    That's how he scored.

He needed a new start. Hopefully it works out for him.

Never thought he was good enough, really. But I must say this picture fair warms the heart. It captures the joy of a footballer who is just glad to be playing again.. Well done, Benno...

  • Well said, IA.

Wish him all the best for the future.

Always liked Benno, just a shame it didn't work out with us.

    Well chuffed for him today.

    Exactly!
  • Top of the league by 5 points.

Think Powell, seeing all the players train day in day in day out, knows what he's doing.

Pleased for Benson and also for Parkinson who now seems to be getting the breaks at Bradford.

Well done Paul, the first of many I think.

  • I'm pleased for him because he's playing as much as anything. He will be the scorer of the goal that enabled a 4th division team to put a Premier League team out of the FA Cup in the record books, and that is great for him. However, he was offside and from the TV it looked like he knew it and was trying to get out of the way of the ball.

Still he did score the goal that won Swindon the game. Good luck to him!

I think we would take a goal like that from BWP at the moment and celebrate it.

  • Pleased for Benno but even back in my Mickey Quinn style goal poaching days I would have been embarrassed to claim that one, he knew nothing about it!
  • a: offside
    b: deflected.
    c: a goal........
well those are the facts, not sure he knew much about it?..... still good luck Paul

Good on him. That will soften the blow of his massive pay cut somewhat!

Lovely picture of him on the front page of the Sunday Times' Sports section. Pleased for him and he's playing at his level in League Two.
