For me it's always been Mrs Cafcfan (all 5' of her) smashing a wendies supporter over the head with her umbrella. If anyone finds a broken umbrella up at Hillsborough this weekend it's probably hers.

Coventry away - would have been c1998/99 - think it was a cup game

Away seats fairly full of Charlton when in amongst us some lad pulls his top off and is covered in Coventry Tattoos and tries to take everyone one.

He got a pasting and then the stewards carried him out - very odd thing to do even then.
  • in the 09/10 season. cant remember who it was against, but an opposing player was booked twice. the chant rang out... 'we've got two sodjes, he's got two yellow cards'

I remember one match where a particularly tall and slobbery charlton fan got up during a quiet period and gvae someone on the pitch a damn good telling off, and proceed to flob over the three rows in front. Half the stand went "ewwww!"

Many years ago - cannot remember the game, but probably 70's. Ball goes into the box and a whistle goes ( in the crowd ) opposing defender thinks the ref has blown for a pen, he picks the ball up and marches across to the ref to protest. Ref shakes his head and explains he hasn't blown a whistle. The player dropped it the way you would a hot coal. We scored from the resulting pen. Anyone remember it ?

I remember it, but no more than that.
  • It was against Notts County, ended up 1-1. About 1978?

Pretty sure this was turned into a short (televised) play by Stan Hey and Andrew Nikloids or possibly Steve Tongue called 'And the Press Box Roared'...or something.
