Saw a thread on Owlstalk in which they were looking at their results against the current top 9 (7 points from a possible 27) so I decided to take a look at our own results. Was very pleasantly surprised to see we've earned a MASSIVE 23 points from a possible 30! Don't want to start counting any chickens just yet and we obiously still have Sheff Utd and MK Dons at home and Huddersfield away, which are big games, but hopefully a good sign that we are where we should be in the league and heading in the right direction.

COYR!

the thing that strikes me there is conceeding just 6 goals. fantastic record.
  • Can't argue with our record at the moment just hope we can do the business against some of the 'lesser' teams.

oddly Stevenage have a 64% win rate vs top-half teams but only 29% vs bottom-half teams.

No wonder the Wendies thought they were going to whoop us , they probably see us as an inferior team , of which they have a very good record of beating!

The figures do highlight that we need to become "flat track bullies" against the weaker sides - especially given the remaining games. We do have a tendency at the Valley against weaker opposition to sit back a little once we have a lead - perhaps the crowd should start chanting we want 2, 3 etc. after we score.
