Think we are playing against Margate FC on Tuesday Evening.

Hopefully people like Dale Stephens, Danny Haynes, Scott Wagstaff and others that need match practice will play!

think it will be a young team, but Haynes up front with Clarke would be a decent choice I think. Stephens, Waggy, Hughes, Evina, could all do with a game I reckon

    Doherty
  • I would play all those players currently out of the team and needing a game to prove they should be starting.

    Sullivan
    Hughes
    Cort
    Doherty
    Evina
    Wagstaff
    Stephens
    Haynes
    Hayes
    Clarke

    + 1

No point playing Alonso if he's not getting near the first team. Would much rather a mix of youngsters and players needing match fitness.

I think Ruben Bover & Stephens will play centre midfield.
  • Dont think he'll risk Stephens or Haynes

Powell would be mad to risk injury to any of the first team squad in such a meaningless cup game. Play the youth team.

Difficult one this. We have a number of fringe players for whom 90 competitive minutes would be welcome.

Would personally give Hayes, Evina, Wagstaff, Hughes and possibly Stephens a run out.

No way would I risk Stephens especially with Russell suspended .

Since we've won the league I think we should prioritise this competition to add some more silverwear to the cabinet

We need to get Stephens match fit though dont we?
  • Can see why it will probably be youth but we have first team squad getting no reserve action and need games.

    Team in last round was:

Charlton: Pope; Warren, Doherty, Lennon, Fox; Bover, Poyet, Pritchard, Harriott; Benson, Smith.

Subs: Phillips, Davisson, Sho-Silva, Popo, Azeez.

as Smith and Benson are elsewhere and Pritchard promoted to first team squad I guess it will be something similar bar them.

Final venue is decided by toss of coin between the two finalist but as we have specified we'll play all the games away it will be at the other team's place, assuming we get that far.

No possibility we would play in this competition at The Valley, including any final.
