Sometime around about 1984 Charlton had just survived liquidation.
Home game against Grimsby. Main ITV evening news interviews one of our fans. He is wearing a strange hat - ear flaps, two strings running down from under the hat and an odd looking bird atop the hat (massive yellow beak). Interview goes well and reporter thanks our fan. Our man promptly Chirps and the bird starts frantically flapping its wings.
Never seen a funnier interview.

    Is it true that you shot one of the builders working on the new Catford Boys school in the bum with a pellet gun? (allegedly) I never saw it. But it was a pretty strong rumour.

    Sadly no.....leastways I haven't got any.......though I seem to remember someone has it (or had it) but who that was I just can't remember.
    Could it have been MOG?
