I'm planning on going West Ham v Millwall on Saturday, it's a 12.30 kick off. What's the best way of getting to the Valley after the match and will I make it on time? Additionally will I have to leave early?
I suspect the Spanners' fans will have a long wait . Best bet would be bus to Canning Town and over to Nog by Jubilee ,don't think you will make kick off at the Valley.
Talking of sewers its interesting to note that the great great grandson of Sir Joseph Balgazette, the man who spent his life pumping crap out of Londons' homes, is Peter Balgazette, a Dulwich College old boy - the man famous for pumping Big Brother into our homes.
district to west ham, then jubilee line to north greenwich, and a bus. I've done this journey before and made it to charlton for about 3:15
I went the last west ham millwall at upton park, and to be honest it was carnage just outside the station. Couldn't walk down Green Street cause it was blocked off with west ham fans before the game. Then it took me years to get back to upton park station afterwards, because of fans blocking up the road like lemons waiting for the away end to be vacated. Don't me suprised if you struggle to get out the ground quickly.

You might make it for the 2nd half if you're not in hospital.

Get a bus to north woolwich/silvertown and leg it through the foot tunnel and catch a bus to charlton. Alternatively, if you ask AFKA nicely, he may come and pick you up in the CL chopper.................
I agree. Not exactly one for the neutral to enjoy, sitting there watching c##p football in a foul atmosphere, waiting for it to go off any minute whilst missing your own team playing up the road. It's a strange one I'll give you.

This may be your quickest option.
