Funny you said that, Strasburger about the MK Dons game going ahead. My brother just phoned me and said he went to get a ticket for the Stevenage game yesterday and the woman in the ticket office said she'd heard MK Dons is looking doubtful. I know she's probably not the voice of authority, but still a club employee...

If it is postponed hope it gets rescheduled for near there JPT final so there minds will be on something else but it'll probably be 28th Feb which would mean 8 games in under a month

Sounds like a lot of people could be going 'up the Oxo tower' on Valentines night instead then.

Weather for MK looks above freezing so it should be fine, shame as if any game needed to be postponed one on Valentines Day would be ideal as it would save me from alot of earache

No it wouldn't! Supposed to be CatJnr's first evening match. Already been foiled once this season by the Reading game being pulled - I'll get far more grief off him that I get from the Mrs who is actually quite pleased to have the evening to herself

  • I wont be too p*ssed off as long as its cancelled on Friday. Don't wanna try and hold back on Friday night etc etc only to wake up early on Saturday and discover the games off.

will be an away win on that I wager!
  • Just coming back from a meeting in Sheffield. The snow forecast for this afternoon has not arrived. It's raining right now. Maybe it won't be so cold?
  • The fact that they have called a pitch inspection for as early as tomorrow lunchtime tells me the game will almost certainly be off
  • Rain in Chesterfield at the moment, no snow, pitch inspection at 1pm. However the snow from the weekend has yet to thaw, cant call it, if there is no snow in the next 24 hours i think we will be ok

Or they're doing it early to stop people travelling up there?

So us people with advance train tickets will know what we've lost earlier. Could always go to Chesterfield for the afternoon I suppose.

The pitch inspection is related to the players travelling up. They are due to leave at 1pm. Personally think it will survive tomorrow and get called off around 10-11am on Saturday.

    Nothing to do with Snow.

It is the pitch freezing that will be the problem.

you could go for the afternoon and see the spire?

saw it when we went for the cup. there is a great pub up there by the old ground. but not sure it was 'that' nice to go there for the afternoon.

our only hope is game off and trains cancelled.

Living up to our trainspotter reputations - how about a train bingo on saturday afternoon instead of a match thread, ticking off the cancellations one by one as each of us find out we can apply for a refund due to the snow?

think the pub near the old ground was called the industry or industrial?
was in there before the cup game and got a lock in after.

I wasn't drinking as I drove so no lock in but I know they were playing 60s music and we were all singing along to the Beatles by the fire. Could have stayed there all night that's for sure!
