Funny this thread should come up now as I've been listening to this on my MP3 to and from work the past few days.

Great to still be able to see so many of those great bands today. Saw these in last year or so Feelgoods Stranglers Blockheads Vibrators Rats John Cooper Clark Buzzcocks - the very best Rezillos Eddie and the Hot Rods - he hasnt changed!
Others still touring
The Damned (just finished gigs in Japan) Undertones - Italy tour in the Spring The Members - London next month Magazine - new CD and tour a couple of months back Iggy - Three European festivals this year UK Subs stormiung Europe right now, as is TV Smith Sham 69 in UK March April
I'm sure there are more, but these are on my radar - I never clicked the connection to 1977! Most of them doing 35th anniversary tours or some such. Not seen a bum gig from any of them, despite becoming pensionable.

Ah,heady days,I was an over excited 16 yr old & bought a drum kit for£10 and formed "The Infants" Our first gig was at The George Green Centre on the IOD and we wheeled all our equipment through the foot tunnel in wheelbarrows.
What was pivotal in those times was the wonderful DIY nature of it all when we made our own clothes, brought out independent records & xeroxed fanzines.
All those tracks are still a staple in my music player. Loved it then, still loving it. Foreign Affairs by Tom Waits was 77 also. Some of his most heartwrenching stuff in the 70's.
This Christmas, Topper Headon, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon will present their own two hour show for BBC Radio 6 Music.

As MOG says proper music.

All gone now of course,X-Factor anyone?
Foreign Affairs by Tom Waits was 77 also. Some of his most heartwrenching stuff in the 70's.
Still love it today and sits along side my obscure indie vinyl collection.
